What qualifications does an AAARTA fellow have?

Attorneys who are admitted as fellows to AAARTA have documented, extensive experience in representing individuals and couples entering into ART arrangements. Each AAARTA fellow must verify that he or she has completed representation in diverse assisted reproduction matters such as: drafting gestational surrogacy contracts, negotiating surrogacy contracts, drafting embryo agreements, drafting or reviewing known sperm or egg donor contracts, obtaining pre-birth orders to determine parentage in surrogacy arrangements and finalizing adoptions for children conceived through ART. Additionally, AAARTA fellows must provide references, verify that they have attended continuing legal education courses in the area of ART, and maintain the highest legal standards of practice.
